I will never live up to the expectations of what a "perfect" Christian daughter is, because I will never, ever be perfect, only forgiven by God's grace. And that's all that God asks, is to live for Him to the best of my ability, and to fully allow Him to work through me as He sees fit. . . ~ Lacynda B. ~

News & Updates & Interesting Facts
I am Screaming. Are you Listening?
Staind released a song called For You. Though I don't listen to Staind (just doesn't uplift my soul, you know?) the lyrics in this song ask a profound question of today's parents: I am screaming? Are you listening?
I sit with teens all the time who say their parents don't listen, but I counsel with just as many parents who wish their teens would talk to them. So, what's up with that?
Sometimes, an honest conversation can open doors. I'm writing a new book for parents of teens. I don't want it to be a book written by an adult telling other adults how to raise kids. It will be an honest dialogue where a parent can pick up the book and hear what you have to say about the issues that impact you. It's your opportunity to share your thoughts, your needs, your criticism, your praise. It's your chance to impact a nation of parents.
I will visit by e-mail with over 1,000 teens. If you want to jump in the forum and share your thoughts and possibly a quote in the book (using your first name and last initial and age), send me an e-mail at eller@intellex.com. In the subject line, put "Listing: Survey". I will send the survey to you and then would love for you to forward the survey to your friends.
Some of the questions look like this (there are about 15 questions total):
If you could tell your parents one thing that they could do to impact your faith, what would it be?
Can you share one story where a parent changed your life? (good or bad)
What have your parents taught you about God? (good or bad)
Do you feel that your parent trusts you?
Does your parent understand your world?
If you could share one thing with your parent about your world, what would it be?
Real Teens, Real Stories, Real Life, the book:

Want to Share Your Story?
If you are between the ages of 12 – 22 and want to share your story (or have a comment about "Real Teens") in the newsletter, we'd love to read it.
I saw my testimony on CBN.org. That's so amazing! I was very blessed by that. I sent it to my mother and she sent it to one of my old best friend's mothers. In return the mother sent it to my old best friend. When I talked to her it turns out that a second friend has gotten saved, and she sounded like she couldn't believe that it was happening, yet I think it is God! I also shared my testimony with a lady I work with on Saturdays. She listened to my entire testimony, and I talked with her for about two hours! I'm sending the written testimony to her by email. May you be blessed in all that you are doing, and may the Lord direct your paths.
