Whose name is Grace;
Who draws us to Himself, blesses us
Just as if we'd never sinned.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Mercy;
Who shows us gentleness, goodness
E'en in the midst of our unkindness.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Compassion;
Who satisfies our hunger, fills us
Through our selfishness and greed.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Humility;
Who took on our weakness, serves us
Though we puff ourselves with power.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Morning Star;
Who shines upon us, guides us
Though we choose to dwell in darkness.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Prince of Peace;
Who calms our fears, banishes hate
Even when we refuse to love.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Great Physician;
Who heals our wounds, diseases
Though we cause injury and hurt.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Emmanuel;
Come to dwell among us, within
Come to save us from ourselves.
Gather round the Child
Whose name is Wonderful;
King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Kneel before the Eternal One!
Come,
Encounter the Christ
Whose name is Jesus!
Be changed by His power, presence
That may we serve Him without fear.
