who brings us the promise
of life everlasting,
of life shared in bliss.
Reach out to our Savior
with truth in your heart,
for life filled with favour,
life waiting to start.
Requesting of Jesus,
whose love enfolds all
to patiently guide us,
picked up when we fall.
Have faith in the Father,
know all He has done.
Your prayers should thank Him
for sending His son.
When life gets so weary
that happiness fails,
the future looks dreary,
and misery hails,
look up to the Lord,
share with Him your plight.
He will lend you His sword
to lean on tonight.
He will give you His blessing,
He will wipe away tears.
For your confessing,
He will drown all your fears
of being alone
in this long, restless night.
He will lend you His throne
to make everything bright.
