armor of His might to hold.
Aces back, dominion dwells,
Holy Spirit's strength unfold.
Tied up at the waist,
a belt of truth.
Transgression replaced
with innocence of youth.
Put forth a breast plate
of righteousness worn,
with devotion create
a Godliness borne.
Keeping feet shod
in sandals of peace,
walking with God,
let hostility cease.
Wear faith as a shield,
repel Satan's doubt
causing evil to yield,
burning arrows put out.
Head secured
helmet of grace.
Redemption assured,
salvation in place.
Wielding a sword
a gift from the Spirit.
Presenting God's word
to all those who fear it.
Giving thanks for this gift
wrapped in steel, honed with favor.
With determined voice lift
praise to our Savior.
