a single light
burning alone,
hanging on
fighting the wind
fighting the night
A man finds some hope
feeling some strength
reaching into himself
to come outside
stronger than before
The light feels that strength
finding brightness in a room
of nothing
feeling power
power to reach out,
or in
until the light is found
A flame burning into the soul
growing stronger,
brighter
until two lights become one
bursting into flame so hot
no man can put out
burning together
against the wind
against the night
