Walk on Water
by Jan Lawler (Jan's bio)

Can you walk on water...?
You Learned, ....you filled with Wisdom of the world.
You Teachers and Preachers...
Can you walk on water...?

You Kings, Rulers, Emperors,
Presidents, Lawmakers and Masters,
Can you walk on water...?
You Educated, Peace Makers and Healers.
I ask you, ...can you walk on water...?

You Wealthy, Healthy and Wise,
Who live in splendid mansions, high on private hills.
With bank accounts so large,
They'd stagger the imagination.
You who have expensive cloths,
To wear upon your backs..
And shoes to adorn your feet.
Can you walk on water...?

I know of one, who had no home,
But His Kingdom's greater than all else.
He who had no Education,
But His Teachings, have changed the world.

He had no doctor's title,
But He's Healed a multitude.
He made the lame to walk,
And made the blind to see.

He had no fancy clothing,
But His garment shown in vivid white,
And He wore but sandals, on his feet.
He had no purse,... filled with gold coin,
No worldly possession of His own,
But His wealth is far greater than all of ours, ....alone.

He was as a drifter or' the lands,
Spreading His good word.
But was rejected by His own,
Humiliated... and put to death,
For reasons,.. then not known.

His dying words so true,...
"Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do."

To many, even into this very day,
He was a nobody... scorned and rejected.
But I can tell you this for certain,...
He could... and He did... Walk on water.
