Discipline
by Deb Nelson (Deb's bio)

I don't want to live my life in sin,
But, I'm having a hard time with discipline.
I do the things I don't want to do,
And don't do the things I want to.

To die to self and pick up my cross,
All I have gained, to count as loss,
Is the hardest thing I'll ever do,
But God's my strength, He'll see me through.

I'm slowly gaining confidence,
With this journey to obedience.
Walking through the desert, I won't groan,
Because I know I'm not walking alone.

I have a Savior who holds my hand,
And leads me to the promised land.
Pressing forward, forgetting the past,
Thank you Lord, I'm free at last!!
