1. We are all gifted as He sees fit. (1 Corinthians 12:28)
  • Not all Pastors wives play the piano or lead women's group.

2. Being submissive to my husband in obedience to God's word does NOT mean I must be submissive to ALL men in the congregation. (Ephesians 5:22-24)

3. Making time for your family should be at the top of your list.
  • You have only one spouse. Weekly dates are very important. Guard this time. Your husband needs his wife as well as his helpmeet at church. Your wife needs her husband as well as her Pastor
  • Your children will be gone before you know it. Make quality time for each of them. They need their daddy and momma as well as their Pastor and Pastor's wife.

4. PK's are regular children. PK's are normal children.
  • This should be a message stated clearly, and understood by all members of the congregation.

5. There is no biblical 'blueprint design' for a Pastor's wife.
  • To 'look', 'act', 'talk', or 'dress' like a Pastor's wife means nothing except what you want it to.

6. Be all Jesus wants you to be.
  • That's all there is.

7. Parsonages are often sparse in furnishings and upgrades.
  • Do not take it personally when the deacon's decide the roots pushing the linoleum apart in the parsonage kitchen are no big deal.

8. Friend takes on a unique meaning in the Pastor's family. (Proverbs 12:26)
  • Prayerfully consider whom you will trust with family prayer requests.

9. Serving the Lord with gladness can be hard work! (Acts20:35)
  • This is true of any Christian's walk.

10. Rest. (Matthew 11:28)
  • More than ever finding a place to rest in Him is imperative.
