Kristenea LaVelle Trusting in HIM

They that trust in the Lord shall be a mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. Psalm 125:1

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

Have you ever stopped to think about how much you trust the Lord for on a daily basis? Each and every day we have to trust God with things that we don't usually even think about. We trust Him for our salvation, comfort and peace in the midst of trials. Even the very breath we breathe comes from God, and we must trust and rely on Him for that precious life. But what about the other things that we face in life? Is it really safe to just trust God with everything?

The Word of God is very clear on the subject of trust. Time and again it points us to trusting in God for all of our physical needs such as food, water, shelter and clothing, but what about all the other things we deal with in life? Such as problems with finances, employment, relationships, marriage, health and the salvation of others? Is it really safe to trust God with all these things? Can we depend upon our Savior to act on our behalf and for our greater good as we face the issues of life?

Yes! We serve a mighty God who cares for our every need. The Bible says, "As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." Psalm 18:30

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:" Isaiah 59:1

"And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform." Romans 4:20,21

"And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." Luke 12:29-31

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed." Psalms 37:3

Day by day as we grow in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord, we should grow in our dependence upon Him for guidance and peace in the problems and trials of life. We can trust Him in every aspect of life that we face no matter how ominous it seems at the time. If we diligently seek His kingdom first, then our focus will be on God and our problems in life will not seem so overwhelming. Everything pales in the Light of Him who cares for us!

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and he shall bring it to pass."
Psalm 37:5
