Blessed Is She
by Kristenea M. LaVelle (Kristenea's bio)

"Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished" Luke 1:45

Do you walk by faith, or by sight? Do you believe that the things God has spoken to your heart will come to pass when circumstances dictate otherwise? Do you trust God to do what He says He will do, even in the midst of total chaos?

Belief. It's what shapes our world and dictates our actions. What we believe determines how we will live. In fact, belief is such an incredible force, it can lead a soul to freedom or deliver it over to eternal bondage. For this reason, what we do with our belief can have a powerful impact in our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Belief is the building block of faith, but do you need to see to believe? Jesus imparted to His followers again and again the importance of their belief regardless of what they perceived the circumstances to be. When Lazarus died, Jesus used the opportunity to demonstrate this truth in a very tangible way. He said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" John 11:40. Then He raised Lazarus from the dead. In this instance, Jesus tested their belief before the miracle happened and the glory of God was revealed. Is God doing this in some area of your life right now? Is He encouraging you to act upon your belief, so that His glory can be revealed in your life?

Belief requires action, which in turn builds faith in God. When we finally take that step and begin acting upon our belief instead of relying on our circumstances or our selves, then we have shown God that we believe He will do it. That's when the miracles begin to happen and the blessings begin to flow.

I encourage you to begin exercising your belief in God and the things He has revealed to you by stepping out in faith and trusting that it will be done. Blessings will abound!
