rebecca foster http://www.rebeccafoster.com (Also listen to Rebecca on mp3.com) Rebecca Foster's CD "Blessings" was a 10th anniversary gift from her husband Allen. After hearing the CD, I think the gift was more for Rebecca's listeners. Rebecca has a beautiful voice that seems comfortable in pop, southern gospel and country. You're going to love this CD. Rebecca lives in Tennessee with her husband and their children, Brooke and Shade. I'm Here - This is an incredibly beautiful song. Rebecca's gorgeous voice is backed by some soulful electric guitar. The lyrics are an awesome reminder that God will never leave us. The Day the Father Cried - Some Spanish guitar highlights this ballad. Rebecca sings beautifully on the chorus with words such as, "The day the father cried / His tears fell like rain." Count Your Blessing - This song was originally done by the Martins. An uptempo number showing that Rebecca can sing more than ballads. I liked the Martins' version, but Rebecca does great on this one. This Too Shall Pass - A very pretty ballad reminding us that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord. I Go to the Rock - Written by Dottie Rambo, this song has some excellent toe-tappin' piano rhythm. Rebecca sounds like she's really having fun singing this. I know I had fun listening to it. I Give You Life - Upbeat country adds another flavor to Rebecca's CD with this track. My only criticism is that the song is too short, not even hitting the 2-minute mark. Why Me - A wonderful testimony song. Rebecca's voice displays her passion for Christ. Grace - This song really shows off the power in Rebecca's voice. A gorgeous track about God's grace. Since Grace Introduced Me to Love - A beautiful love song. A guitar solo highlights this track. In the Presence of Jehovah - A soulful piano ballad. This is a very worshipful song. It's almost six minutes long, but I found myself wanting more. The Lord’s Prayer - Rebecca ends the CD with an acappella rendition of the Lord's Prayer. A great way to give glory to her Savior. Rebecca better let me know when her next CD comes out. I want to hear more of her gorgeous voice! - Jason Mitchener |
