The GO Zone:It's Time to GO...Now!!! by Dave Weiss (Dave's bio) Send this page to a friend But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:1-5a (NIV) As you read the above passage, from Paul's second letter to Timothy, don't you feel a little like you are reading a script from the nightly news report or a description of the attitudes of people all around you? One thing becomes readily apparent. We are living in the last days. Now I know, because I have heard the arguments before, that some will say that people have been saying that for nearly two thousand years and He hasn't come back yet. They think it's a myth or a scare tactic. To you I would say, turn your Bible to the very last page of the last book and read the second last verse. In that verse, Jesus says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Do not be led into a false sense of security. Don't think that because the Lord has decided to wait a little while longer, that He's not coming. One day he will come like a thief in the night. Is everyone around you ready? If not, it's time to go. I'm not trying to predict the time, if Jesus didn't know that while he was here on earth, surely I can't know, but I do know one thing, His arrival is one day closer than it was yesterday. We can't afford to sit on our hands. Whether your a "pre-tribber," "post-tribber"or "any-other-kind-of-tribber," the time for evangelism is now! In truth, we may be the generation that sees the rapture or we may not, but the last day comes for millions every day. People die without Jesus every day. That should be all the motivation we need to go. Life is uncertain, but God is certain. He sticks to His promises and keeps them all. Jesus will keep His promise to come again. We are in dire need of a move of the Spirit. Every Christian should be on his face daily before God, asking God to bring revival and asking Him to allow us to be an instrument in His hand used to bring it forth. Then we should stand up, follow the still small voice and do what He says to make revival happen. Jesus Is coming! Are you ready to say as John writes, "Amen, Come Lord Jesus?" If not, it's time to GO...now!
